How this site is paid

Squared Away works with Veteran Insurance Solutions, a licensed health insurance agency. When someone uses our guides and decides to enroll in a Medicare plan, the insurance company pays Veteran Insurance Solutions a standard commission. That is how every health insurance agency operates, and it is how this site earns money.

Commissions never change our published guidance. A plan fits your situation or it doesn't, and our answer to that question does not depend on whether you enroll. We publish the same guidance to keep TRICARE For Life, buy nothing, or wait, even though those answers earn us nothing.

When our plan comparison and enrollment services are active, federal rules require us to tell you how many insurance organizations and products we represent in your area. That disclosure will appear here and throughout the site. We do not offer every plan available in your area, and you can always get information on all of your options from Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE.
